Thank you very much for taking part in this forum Sara :D !!!

It's pretty cool to see how your skills and items have begun to accumulate over the last while. Great to see you have a company now too.

Feel free to post pics of your accessories, like the thighboards and knee stacks....or anything else.

Welcome to the GB Manufacturer's Forum!!!

Thanks! I get to try them out at stick and puck this Friday. I played with them during a public skate and they felt pretty good so I am ready to take the plunge now with box pads. Here's a picture of them, but keep in mind these are still a work in progress. There are a few cosmetic flaws that appeared as I was learning how to assemble them. This is my first set of pads ever!

Here are a few pictures of knee wings, knee lifts, and thighboards that I have for sale occasionally on ebay.

Did you make those all the way from scratch? Did you use any templates from other pads or just adjust as you went?

Nice job either way.

EDIT -- Just checked out the website. Looks like you used a pad from eBay to start with. Looks great!

Yeah I used a Velo clone to see how they set things up and some basic sizing. Most of the stuff has changed a lot from the pad though, like they used some really wimpy foam in their thighboards so I made mine a bit more substantial and changed the shape. Also, their knee lifts were thinner and the nylon was so thin it allowed the eyelets to pull through with just a slight pressure from just holding onto them. That's not while I was playing even!

The internals of my pad are completely different, I have five layers of foam in the shin, and the only stuffing in it was used in the boot section in order to thin the top of the pad out. Once I had a basic idea of what foams to use, I went with that and tried to be a little more imaginative with it. I am now playing around with the rebound properties of the foam.

Sara,
I really like you custom thigh boards. I will almost definitely be contacting you once my new pads come in. I think custom thigh boards would just solidfy the design I am using.

Can you PM with some basic pricing info on a custom set of thighboards, and do you office elastic straps, as well as white buckles?

I need to be on this board more often!

I can vouch for becca’s work. I traded her for a set of knee lifts for my Sherwoods. They were incredible, much better than the original.

Glad to see you put something together

Hey Becca, your pads are looking awesome (POST PICS HERE :D)

Are you taking orders yet? Do you have prices for your pads and blocker?

Lastly, are you going to be making your own gloves?

Thanks

Hans

I now have my website address available to everyone. Click here to visit

It's being updated and worked on at this point still. I will update each catagory as the products become available.

Here are a few pictures of my pads and blocker

Pads and gloves are available by contacting me. I will make blockers for $145 right now (for GBBB members 8) ) as they are still in development, but very close to going into production. Pads are $750, but not quite as close to a finished product as the blockers.
I don't have them for sale on the website yet as they are still in the development and testing phase. I plan to make catchers also, and both gloves will be able to utilize my palm swapping system which is currently in development. I will post pictures for everyone here as I work on that.

Becca, the site is looking good. It's already better than the sites of some of the big MANU's....8) .

Great work so far, those custom thighboards are looking good, and the blocker looks great too. It will be nice to see how your gear will develop.

Hmmm, maybe I'll send my ProtechSport to you so that you can add to your mask paint job gallery!! Can't afford to get it painted now, but soon. :P

So.... can you do custom thighboards on request? I have a couple ideas in mind. I'll send you a PM.

Yeah as long as it doesn't require orange jenpro! I can't get ahold of that color, and I have had requests for it. From what I can tell, only Vaughn offers it right now, and it's a thinner type of synthetic leather. I would like to know where they get it.

Otherwise I can do pretty much whatever you want. Just send me a PM.
